yes, it’s all true. allow me to explain…

verifloraafter this summer’s number of weddings, handful of dinner parties, and countless and varied events around ann arbor–and beyond–pot & box is expanding include floral services. i am thrilled to have connected with choice fair trade and organic flower farms, and to have the chance to offer their beautiful products to ann arborites. i am featuring veriflora-certified assorted flowers from esmeralda farms, fair trade roses from one world flowers, and organic lillies, gerber daisies, and roses from organic bouquet.

fairtradebeginning this week (and extending through the holiday season,) i will at everyday wines in kerrytown on wednesdays & saturdays during farmers’ market, and on thursdays & fridays from the mid-afternoon into the evening hours. come in to visit me–mention you read about it on green thumb black dog for a debut week discount, and ask about the lucky thirteen card to get a free bouquet.

usda_organic_logoas mary & the staff provide you with everyday wines, i hope to provide you with everyday flowers–and for them to be eco- and socially-responsibly grown at prices comparable to conventionally-grown stems. just as we now choose the fair-trade coffee and an organic bananas, we can now make the same choice with cut flowers. true, we aren’t drinking or eating them, but we do vote with our wallets–and shouldn’t it be saying that we care about floral workers’ health and our environment’s future?
