happily ever after…

saturday, miss maggie & mr. joe
tied the knot at the michigan theater…
then celebrated their union at the venue
formerly known as leopold bros.
a local wedding to the max.
pot & box was there with the greens of
summer and classic whites & ivories:
bells of ireland, fuji mums, calla lillies,
waxflower, hypericum berries, as well

ann arbor, start your gardens…

two glorious things happened yesterday:
1. i spotted some daffodils breaking ground.
if it were up to me, i would shift our calendar a month and a half forward to celebrate new year’s day on march fifteenth. firstly, it’s my birthday, which is a day everyone should be celebrating anyway. secondly, spring is so much more in [...]

flowers for the folks

this morning, i had the pleasure of delivering flowers to the 32nd annual ann arbor folk festival. i have always enjoyed being a part of events, big and small. with the ark employees–especially EJ!–and volunteers as friendly and helpful as they were, it was a caffeine-swilling good time…and as i primped the bouquets for their [...]

and all i did was spout a little garden advice…
jess is a massage therapist who has given me the best massages i have ever had…and believe me, i lay down on that table pretty broken after a month of being folded over planting pretties, [...]

welcoming friends, welcoming flowers

it’s official: there’s a pot & box team…
if you see a handsome man dividing perennials, or an adorable lady planting annuals, say hello…
you’re seeing pot & box’s newest employees hard at work. thanks to all my new clients, i needed some help with my mission to beautify ann arbor–and what good help they are already! [...]

it’s going to be beautiful

this weekend, i “did” my first wedding–not the flight-to-vegas, church-of-elvis, what-happened-last-night kind of wedding–but arranging the flowers for ann arbor’s cutest, coolest couple, steve & becca…

and it was beautiful. the setting was sunday afternoon at locally-owned eve the restaurant, a french+ place, with a stainless steel bar, exposed brick walls, and delicious ginger lime martinis. [...]
