to people’s food co-op in ann arbor!

we’ll be delivering every tuesday & friday morning,
just before we head to everyday wines in kerrytown to stock the flower cart.

we recently used their super cool 4″ cubes in mocha for a wedding.

the future of (floral) design

last friday, pot & box provided flowers for the design
school’s dinner in the liberty lofts glasshouse.
the place was totally transformed.
black curtains everywhere,
and did i mention the dinner was taped?
(oops, i mean digitally recorded.
but, hey, coming from the girl who still has cassettes and VHS.)
and yes, the dinner guests we recorded.
which means one thing to me: pot & box is FAMOUS!
at least in a design lecture somewhere, someday. but still.

which YOU should attend. it’s a fundraiser for the american cancer society,
and everyone–including the flowers–will be dressed in *pink!*

dance, drink, eat…and raise awareness and moola for the fight against breast cancer.

pot & box in brides michigan magazine

pot & box was recently featured in the regional
‘brides michigan’ magazine,
published by conde nast.

the editors asked for a favorite bouquet/boutonniere pairing, and a wedding of colorful, locally-sourced flowers came to mind:

From the magazine:
“I have an inspiration board in my studio tacked with photos and tear sheets I love,” says Lisa. “One of them, a photo from a J. Crew catalog, caught this bride’s eye–the shot was of wooden crates filled with dozens of beautifully ripe roses in oranges and pinks.” Using these colors as a starting point, Lisa created a bouquet that combined Michigan-grown pink peonies, orange and pink roses, and sprigs of solidago. “The solidago added texture to the bouquet, and I loved that ’solidago’ means “to strengthen or unite” in Latin.”
The groom’s boutonniere, designed to mirror the bouquet, featured orange and pink spray roses and a sprig of solidago, and was finished with a folded double-faced satin ribbon.
